HAUNTED HAYRIDE TEAM BONDING EVENT!
All 25 EHS FH players took part in the VerHulst Haunted Hayride team bonding event on Friday night! Many thanks to Varsity 11th grader Casey for organizing the event. She did a great job! Many additional thanks to all the parents who volunteered to carpool players to the event and get them back home safely. Many parents also provided snacks and warm beverages for the evening. Coach Cooper and Coach Fischer are grateful to have such a supportive and helpful group of FH parents. And, of course, we love all 25 of our brave EHS FH players!
We used EHS FH fundraising dollars to pay for this event. Here’s how it worked:
17 players had enough fundraising dollars in their personal FH fundraising accounts to cover the full cost of the Haunted Hayride $35 per person fee. For these players, EHS FH simply deducted the $35 fee from their individual accounts.
4 players had partial payment of the $35 fee covered with their personal FH fundraising account. For these players, EHS FH deducted the partial fee from the player’s account (bringing their balance to zero) and added in the remainder of the $35 fee from our General FH Team fundraising account.
4 players had zero balance in their FH fundraising accounts. For these players, EHS FH covered the full $35 fee from our General FH Team fundraising account.
All players will receive a text this week with their updated FH account balance.

See Reference Chart below for more information on Adult and Youth sizing for Holloway items
QUICK REMINDER: PLEASE KEEP YOUR COMMENTS POSITIVE & SUPPORTIVE ON GAME DAYS
Coach Cooper and Coach Fischer hope that all EHS FH spectators know that we work hard to prepare our FH players for each game. We want nothing more than for each player to deliver the very best game they can on any given day. Regardless of wins and losses, we are 100% confident that every Lancer FH player gives her individual very best in every game, and that every Lancer FH player wants very much to get the win with each contest. Players know the game plan in advance and simply wish to execute it well (which they have done in most games this season). Unfortunately, spectator commentary and “coaching” from the sidelines can be distracting and stressful to players. So, please, let the coaches manage the game and keep the spectator support positive while avoiding sideline “coaching.” The button below will take you to a short and very useful article on “3 Secrets To Being a Sensible Youth Sports Spectator.” Thanks!
SENIOR NIGHT GAME: Congratulations Seniors & Thank You Parents!
We want to congratulate our Lancer Seniors once again. What a fantastic game and celebration! We also want to thank all the FH parents who helped with the t-shirt making event last Sunday at the Teixeira house and also with the Senior Night stadium decorations, serving the cake and cleaning up at the end of the post-game event. The players and coaches are grateful for all the effort that went into making a Senior Night that was truly memorable and meaningful.

This team is on a path to BIG improvement AGAIN in the Fall 2024 season. However, to reach our goals as a team, each individual player needs to start preparing now. Start small. Be consistent. We can show you how. Click on the button below to get started!
CONGRATULATIONS, LIJEYNIE!
Lijeynie — 11th grade EHS FH team captain and our center back — was named to Second Team All County!! This is a significant honor for Lijeynie and our entire EHS FH program. Be sure to congratulate Lijeynie when you see her!
NEW YORK STATE SCHOLAR ATHLETE TEAM 11 YEARS IN A ROW!
We are pleased to announce that our Fall 2023 Lancer FH team once again earned NYS Scholar Athlete Team honors. This is the 11th year in a row that our team has achieved this honor. Academics are always a priority for our program and we are grateful to have such an amazing group of Student Athletes in our Lancer FH program.
SECTION V DIVISION II “COACHING STAFF OF THE YEAR”
Lancer Field Hockey Coaches Cooper and Fischer were honored to be named the Fall 2023 Section V Division II Coaching Staff of the Year by our fellow Section V field hockey coaches. It is a testament to the great improvement our very young varsity team made throughout the Fall 2023 season! (DID YOU KNOW? Coach Fischer was also named Section V Division II Coach of the Year in Fall 2016. That was another season of great improvement for our Lancers and also a season in which Coach Fischer coached BOTH the varsity and JV teams.)
