EHS Field Hockey Weekly Update 7/30-8/5
EHS FH WEEKLY UPDATE
Sunday 8/5... Hello EHS & EIMS FH Families. This week is our LAST Tues/Thurs early morning turf time and Volt workouts of the summer. PLEASE join us — even if you haven’t been in awhile. We;d love to see you! Participating this week will also get you used to arriving at turf early (by 7:15am) so that we can get started by 7:30. Our Captains will be discussing Midnight Madness on Tuesday! It will be helpful to have as many players as possible attend the week.
Our Fall preseason starts Monday August 13!
Daily practices will be 7:30-11:30am Mon-Friday throughout preseason. Arrive at stadium no later than 7:15am each day so that we can get started promptly at 7:30am each morning.
THE ONLY EXCEPTION IN OUR PRESEASON SCHEDULE IS OUR FIRST-PRACTICE-OF-THE-SEASON — MIDNIGHT MADNESS.
Our first practice will be Sunday night 8/12 (11:50pm) into Monday 8/13 (1:15am) for the traditional EHS FH Midnight Madness practice under the stadium lights.
- This is a school-sanctioned event.
- The Athletic Director will be present throughout the practice.
- Players & spectators arrive at stadium by 11:50pm on Sunday evening 8/12. We start practice at 12:01am (this is now Monday 8/13… first minute of first day of preseason practice).
- Players & spectators depart the stadium at 1:15am.
- You need to be approved by the school nurse to play EHS FH by this Friday 8/10 in order to participate in Midnight Madness. Anyone not approved by this Friday cannot participate in Midnight Madness. (I will be sending updated approved player lists throughout this week.)
- If you cannot participate in Midnight Madness, be sure to attend our second practice/player meeting in the evening on Monday 8/13 from 6-7:30pm. (ALL PLAYERS should attend this second practice/team meeting — even if you participate in Midnight Madness)
- KEEP IN MIND… It is optional to participate in our Midnight Madness practice. Please let me know if you are planning to play EHS FH this fall, but you are not planning to be at Midnight madness. Thx, Coach Fischer
